ATA is an Acronym. These are the initials of the artists’ names: Alinka, Thomas und Angelo.
The three of them have met in 2017 and together they are creating pictures composed of photography, colored pencils drawings and 3D renderings.
Thomas Balik takes the photos and Alinka Petrová draws fitting subjects on paper. Her drawings are then scanned and Angelo Baiocchi, after 3D enhancing, places them in the pictures.
The resulting image is printed on „Acrylglas“ a procedure which garantees the brillance of the pictures. These do not need to be framed and maintain their color quality through the years.
ALINKA PETROVÀ – Born in Rožňava, Slovakia, in 2001, moved to Bratislava in 2015, where she lives now. She started to draw at the age of 11 and is now a student at the art school „Academy of Animation“ in Bratislava.
She prefers classical art but her newest works are Mandala-Miniatures. These creations show big patience and accuracy. They are realized on stones or on small format canvas. Alinka says about herself: “I don’t know what I’m going to do in the future but I know that it will be art. I don’t want to say that I’m an artist, because I’m not one yet, but I’m going to be one! I love art, it’s part of my life and I will never give it up.“
THOMAS BALIK – Born in Vienna in 1968, is a freelance photographer. He has got his passion for photography from his father who was already experimenting with 3D photography in the 70ies. Thomas likes to experiment as well and shows in his photographs much passion for both landscapes and people subjects. He’s also interested in photoprocessing and often likes to give to his pictures a surreal atmosphere.
ANGELO BAIOCCHI – Born in Pavia, Italy, in 1965, is a freelance artist. After studying at the art school in Milan he came to Vienna, where he lives since the beginning of the 90ies. His preferred subjects are portraits. His technique changes often and goes from simple pencil and coal pencil up to acrylic and oil colors. Very often he draws and paints caricatures. In the last years, next to classical techniques, he has devoted himself more and more to digital painting.
